There are many walks through the Regional Nature Park and for experienced hikers a night in a refuge will lead them to the GR20 long-distance trail. For more active holidays, close by there is climbing, canyoning, rafting, a via ferrata and a tree-top adventure course, in magnificent countryside that will enchant young and old alike. In winter, the mountains don a beautiful coat of snow, making it possible to go cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, with an experienced guide if you wish.
To the south, a succession of discreet coves and small creeks of turquoise water lead to Porto-Vecchio with its bustling town life and picturesque little streets, its shops, the legendary beaches of Palombaggia and Santa Giulia, plus the popular Via Notte nightclub, a must for holiday partying. Further on lies Bonifacio perched on its limestone cliffs, from which Sardinia and the Lavezzi and Cavallo Islands can be seen, and tempting you on delightful strolls through the narrow streets of its Old Town.
